Pie Love is seeking a part time assistant baker 6 to 14 hours a week for a small farmer’s market bakery.

Pie Love has been selling pies and other baked goods at Seattle farmers markets for 6 years. I work out of the kitchen at Betty Restaurant and Bar on Queen Anne where I have been the pastry chef for 8 years in addition to the owner and pastry chef of Pie Love. Baking assistant will be working directly with me in the kitchen helping with a variety of projects to get ready for the market.

Professional baking experience is not necessary but some kind of food service experience is preferred. Must be comfortable with a variety of tasks including measuring and scaling ingredients, shaping and rolling dough, chopping and peeling fruit, washing dishes, stamping boxes etc. Must be 18+, able to lift 50 pounds and stand on your feet for a 7-hour shift.

Schedule has a lot of flexibility but must be available one to two mornings per week, ideally Tuesday or Wednesday. The usual shift starts between 6 - 8 am until around 1 pm. Pie Love’s main season is from June 1st through December 24th. But there is flexibility in the slower season for time off or for Pie Love to add more pop-ups if you are looking to maintain hours.
